Solnechnyye zaychiki (obverse)
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

Dubbed 'sun bunnies' (Russian: солнечные зайчики, trans. solnechnyye zaychiki) by Soviet soldiers, this two-colour camouflage pattern first appeared on the one-piece 1968/69 camouflaged summer concealing overalls (Russian: Камуфлированный летний маскировочный комбинезон, trans. kamuflirovannyy letniy maskirovochnyy kombinezon, KLMK).

'Solnechnyye zaychiki' is a much-simplified version of the camoulfage pattern seen on the 1961 paratroopers' KLMK camouflage uniform. Like its predecessor, 'sun bunnies' is a two-colour camouflage pattern, comprising irregular, stepped, light-coloured blotches printed on a medium green background.
