Uncover your potential', indeed! Once you stop ogling the girl, though, you might notice that this Australian Special Air Service (SAS) recruiting poster shows Australian Disruptive Pattern Camouflage to very good effect. [Image courtesy Brad Turner collection.]

Republic of Hungary
In 2003, when the Hungarian Defense Forces (HDF) planned to participate in the Iraqi mission, the need for a desert camouflage pattern, to replace the obsolete pakisztáni ('Pakistani') design became a priority. Among the contenders was a four-colour desert camouflage pattern, developed by Pannonflax, and a three-colour desert camouflage pattern, developed by TeensTex.
The TeensTex experimental three-colour camouflage pattern uses colours reminiscent of the U.S. 3-color desert camouflage: light green and earth brown on a sand-coloured background. The design itself is quite different, however.
Being so similar to the American pattern, there is no reason to suppose that this desert camouflage pattern could not have been equally successful. However, this camouflage was not accepted. Instead, the Hungarian armed forces adopted the U.S. 3-color desert camouflage — presumably because they saw no need to 're-invent the wheel'.
The decision to issue the U.S. desert camouflage was reversed in November 2004, and the Pannonflax four-colour desert pattern was issued in its place.
