Italian arctic camouflage
Italian Republic
Clearly inspired by Bundeswehr Schneetarn ('Bundeswehr snow camouflage'), this two-colour Italian arctic camouflage comprises dark-coloured 'scribbles' on a white background, although the colour of the scribbles is yet to be determined. Commercially-produced versions of the camouflage use dark green, although a correspondent currently serving in the Esercito Italiano ('Italian Army') has said that the colour 'may be a bit more red-brown, rather than green'.
kamouflage.net is grateful to Lorenzo Russo and the Cadore Alpine Brigade, Federico Sini, Eric H. Larson and Milan Jovanovic, for their invaluable contributions to this article.
