Uncover your potential', indeed! Once you stop ogling the girl, though, you might notice that this Australian Special Air Service (SAS) recruiting poster shows Australian Disruptive Pattern Camouflage to very good effect. [Image courtesy Brad Turner collection.]
M/05 cold weather camouflage pattern
Republic of Finland
The M/05 family of camouflage patterns was developed by the Information Technology Institute of the Finnish State Technical Research Centre, which utilised various photographs of Finnish forests that had been taken by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. Several analytical methods were employed, in an effort to create camouflage patterns that best represented Finnish terrain.
The four-colour M/05 cold weather camouflage pattern is essentially the same pattern as the M/05 woodland variant. However, medium green has been substituted for dark green, light greyj has been substituted for spring green, and earth brown has been substituted for wood brown; the charcoal grey elements remain unchanged. These colours were chosen because they are more common during the autumn and winter months.
