Romania
The Romanian military is undergoing a three-stage restructuring. As of 2007, the first stage — reorganisation of the command system and implementation of voluntary military service — was completed. The second stage — operational integration into NATO and the EU — is scheduled for completion in 2015, while 2025 is the date by which full technical integration into NATO and the EU is to be completed.
As part of its effort to achieve compatibility with NATO forces, the Romanian Armed Forces (Romanian: Forţele Armate Române or Armata Română) adopted a camouflage pattern that is clearly inspired by British DPM. Romanian DPM is likewise a four-colour camouflage pattern, comprising black, olive green and woood brown elements on a tan background.
Although Romanian DPM has been identified as M2002 by some collectors, sources in Romania have indicated that this camouflage pattern has been in service since 2003.
