In 2007, the People's Liberation Army (simplified Chinese: 中国人民解放军, traditional Chinese: 中國人民解放軍; PLA) introduced the Type 07 Combat & Training Uniforms as replacements for the older Type 87 Combat & Training Uniforms.

The Type 07 Combat & Training Uniforms are available in four basic camouflage patterns, all of which are four-color digital camouflage designs. The woodland variant of Type 07 Digital Camouflage, shown here, comprises aliased blocks of black, medium green and wood brown on a beige background.
