Roggenwolf 'Kurdaitcha' (proposal)
Commonwealth of Australia
Designed in collaboration with Canada's HyperStealth® Biotechnology Corp., 'Kurdaitcha' was Roggenwolf's first camouflage pattern. It is a four-colour, integrated digital camouflage design, which comprises both a macropattern and a micropattern.
Three colour variations of 'Kurdaitcha' were submitted to the Australian Defence Material Organisation (DMO) in September 2005. However, the proposal was not accepted on the grounds that the camouflage pattern too closely resembled tigerstripe, versions of which are still in use by many of Australia's South-East Asian neighbours.
The version of 'Kurdaitcha' shown here was subsequently displayed at Land Warfare Conference and Exhibition 2007, which was held in Adelaide, South Australia, from 22 to 26 October 2007. To date, only one complete uniform is known to exist.
