Italian woodland pattern
Italian Republic

After World War Two, the Telo Mimetico ('mimetic cloth') pattern continued in service with the armed forces of the Italian Republic until 1992. At that time the Italian Army (Italian: Esercito Italiano) adopted a woodland pattern camouflage, while the Battalion San Marco adopted yet another pattern, which is specific to the formation.

Italian woodland, shown here, is very closely patterned after U.S. woodland pattern camouflage. It comprises dark greyish olive, dark greyish yellowish brown and black elements on a greyish yellowish brown background.
