Roggenwolf Warg 5D‑PL (trial)
Republic of Poland
Originally earmarked as a possible contender for Phase IV of the U.S. Army's camouflage project, the Roggenwolf™ Warg™ family of camouflage patterns was optioned by Polish firm SPECOPS Sp. z o.o. shortly after the company was invited to submit proposals for Poland's own 'Future Soldier' program, ISW Tytan.
While it is not yet known whether any patterns from the Warg family will be submitted for ISW Tytan, it is known that a woodland version — which has been designated Roggenwolf Warg 5F‑PL — and a desert version — which has been designated Roggenwolf Warg 5D‑PL — have been assembled for display by SPECOPS. Other variations are rumoured to have been produced, although this is yet to be confirmed.
Roggenwolf Warg 5D‑PL, shown here, is a five-colour digital camouflage pattern, which comprises dense, dithered clusters of greyish yellow, light greyish yellowish brown, dark greyish yellow, light yellowish brown, and greyish yellowish brown pixels. There is noticeable variation in the sizes and aspect ratios of the individual elements.
